About

My name is Jules Hoare and I live just outside the beautiful village of Bosham near Chichester.  The transparency and immediacy of watercolour make it my favourite medium but I also love working with oil and other media.  Seascapes and the stunning local scenes inspire me particularly.   I am also passionate about all creatures.  Scotland and Africa are my two other special locations where I love to paint.  I always try and sketch on the spot and then work later from sketches and photographs in the studio.  I exhibit regularly at the Oxmarket in Chichester and on the Bosham Art Trail.  In the past I have exhibited many times in Wimbledon and have done large murals in the Royal Marsden Cancer Hospital in Sutton and several other clinics.  I am also very thrilled that I was included in an exhibition 10-14  February earlier this year at the Mall Galleries.  It was run by a wonderful charity called The Sick Children's Trust.  I was delighted that both my paintings of Iona sold there.   If you are interested in purchasing a painting please contact me on jules.hoare@yahoo.com
